A love for home baking…

Gemma Sisson has always had a love for home baking – and now she’s bringing it to you. Having started baking at a young age, she is well-versed in all the techniques people use at home. Don’t be thinking that our products are simple – she had been trained by the very best cake companies in London to give your sweet treats that professional finish.

She has trained and worked at the country’s leading provider of wedding cakes, The Little Venice Cake Company, and has done freelance work for other great places, including Fancy Nancy and Wonderland Bakery. She also works as a home economist at food exhibitions for the chef Richard Fox, writer of The Food and Beer Cookbook, and helping campaign alongside him for Love Food, Hate Waste.

At the age of 22, she branched off on her own with the aim of making life a little bit sweeter and providing a service that combines her love for home baking and the skills she has learnt throughout her career. The Kitchen Mixer has gone from strength to strength, but it is still committed to giving you products that have been baked with love and care. We are not a big company, so we can give customers the personal service that they need – delivered by Gemma herself!
